Jonathan founded HALE in 2006, a part-design, part-production firm that operates in both Chicago, IL and Scottsburg, IN. His work is guided by the infrastructure of industrial processes, mostly found in urban environments, yet the slow pace of living in a small town allows his designs room to maturate. Formerly a restoration manager for Chicago auctioneer Richard Wright, Jonathan’s work is influenced by 20th century design, art and architecture: "it is really only with a clear understanding and respect for the history of design that you can reasonably expect to be part of its future.”
